RIVIERA MAYA

Riviera Maya is the name of the Mexican Caribbean coastline stretching south from Cancun to the archaeological zone of Tulum. The area has in recent years experienced significant growth with the opening of several luxury resorts, eco-adventure parks and professional designer golf courses all connected by a modern highway. In addition, several resorts offer facilities for large scale meetings and conventions.

The area offers beautiful Caribbean beaches, exuberant tropical jungle with crystal-clear cenotes, underground rivers and exciting adventures to ancient Mayan ruins perfect for any type of groups. The State of Quintana Roo has a special focus on the eco-tourism given the very particular underground river system of the Yucatan peninsula and the extensive tropical forest. With the aim of protecting the natural wonders of the region, developmental friendly alternatives are offered where possible; i.e. tours, activities, accommodations, transportation, etc.

Diving, snorkeling, fishing and swim with dolphins are excellent choices in the crystalline waters where the Great Mesoamerican Reef lies just off shore - the 2nd longest barrier reef system in the world. Playa del Carmen, the unofficial capital of the Riviera Maya region, has grown into a sparkling multicultural town. Numerous boutiques, lounge bars, cafes, restaurants of all tastes make the famous Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) and surrounding streets worth a visit.
